“Faith That Changes Everything”

Theme: God wants to use us to perform miracles.

Text: John 14:12-14

Here’s a thought: God wants us to be witnesses, not to try and witness.

John 14:12-14 - Jesus said we would do greater things and to ask in His name.

Jesus said we could ask for anything in His name.

When we share the Good News, there will be miracles. We can trust the Lord for the miraculous.

People don’t want just facts and information they want the reality of a changed life.

The Inheritors

1 Peter 1:3-5 - we have a priceless inheritance.

Ephesians 1:11 - we have received an inheritance from God

We are co-heirs with Christ.

The inheritance is being revealed and will be revealed fully when Christ returns.

The Harvesters

Matthew 9:36-38 - the harvest is great, but the workers are few.

Jesus calls all His people to be harvesters.

Each of us know people who do not know Jesus.

We tend to make sharing the Good News too big and complicated.

We don’t need to force conversations but we can be ready for conversations.

Pray that the Lord will send harvesters.

The Overcomers

Revelation 12:10-11 - they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

Our world is confused by identity politics. We have been made in the image of God.

We often think we know better than Jesus. The enemy sells lies, and these lead to destruction.

We have been brought into the inheritance by the blood of the Lamb.

Our flesh, sinful nature and ego must die.

Lord, I believe. Help me overcome my unbelief.

Emotions are good servants but terrible masters.

Faith is not an emotion.

Some transformation stories should not be shared publicly.

Iran is the fastest-growing church in the world right now. Their faith is based on pairs of people sharing the Good News in the face of danger.

The only hope for our world is Jesus.

Sin separates, and the wages of sin is death.

Politics are just containers and tools that God uses.

The Burning Ones

Moses met God in the burning bush.

Joshua would stay at the Tabernacle to be in God’s presence.

Matthew 3:11 - He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Acts 2:3-4 - tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.

What was prophesied and promised is still available for God’s people.

God wants us to be witnesses, not to try and witness.

People turned from Jesus when He taught hard things. This continues to happen today.

The Holy Spirit was poured out a number of times in the Book of Acts.

The Holy Spirit continues to be poured out.

When we give our tongues to the Lord, we are changed.

Speak in tongues regularly.

The power of God is greater than:

·      Entropy and the laws of thermodynamics

·      Decay

·      Disease

·      Sin

·      Death

John 14:12-14 - anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works.

We might not have faith for a miracle, but we need faith to obey for a miracle.

God wants to use us to perform miracles.

There is nothing too difficult for God!
