We believe:

  • In the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original writing as fully inspired by God, and accept them as the full and final authority for faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

    In one God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Peter 1:2).

    That the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-23).

    That God created man in His image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual, and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issues in actual transgression involving personal guilt (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).

    That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, a substitutionary sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe and trust in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood (John 3:16-18; 1 John 1:5-9).

    In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Hebrews 4:14-16).

    In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16).

    In the personality of the Holy Spirit, His regenerating work, and abiding presence in the true believer. That the Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and that He has been sent to be the Comforter and Empowerer of the Christian Church, to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the Scriptures (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; Galatians 5:22-23).

    That all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God (John 3:3; Romans 8:15-17).

    That all Christians are called to a life of holiness, devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and service to Him (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:14-16).

    In the resurrection both of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment from God of those who have rejected the offer of salvation (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:31-46; 1 John 5:10-13; Revelation 20:11-15).

    That the whole company of those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour have been redeemed by Him and regenerated by the Holy Spirit and form the one true Church, and that each local church on earth should take its character from this concept. Therefore, the new birth and personal confession of faith in Christ are essentials of Church membership (Acts 2:38-41; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13).

    In the priesthood of all believers in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:5-9).

    That the ascended Christ has given various ministries or ministers to the Church in order to bring all believers to the place of Christian maturity in the understanding of truth, and the performance and function of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11; Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:10 ff.).

    That the healing of the sick in the name of Jesus Christ is still active in the Church (Mark 16:16-18; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-15).

    That God never removed the gifts of the Holy Spirit from the Church, and that the Scriptural commands to "seek earnestly the best gifts", and to "forbid not to speak in tongues", are still applicable today (1 Corinthians 12,13 & 14:1-39).

    That the miracles as recorded in the Bible were real miracles, and are possible in the present day (John 14:12 and 1 Corinthians 12:10).

    That all believers are called to fulfil the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

    That Christ is the Head of His body, the Church, and that in all things He has pre-eminence (Colossians 1:15-20).

  • The priesthood of all believers - this is based on the truth that each believer is valuable and has a ministry prepared in advance by God (Ephesians 2:8-10).

    Going to the nations - the Great Commission is for all believers and every local church to take seriously (Matthew 28:19-20).

    Going beyond the third generation - many Christian movements have lost the zeal of a previous generation because the young people have not been brought through to serve God with totality of love, passion and willingness to sacrifice (Deuteronomy 6:1-12, Proverbs 13:22).

    The majority carrying the minority - in many local churches, 20 percent of attendees do 80 per cent of the work. A healthy church is when the majority of people who come to worship services are actively involved in the life of the church and fulfilling their God-given calling (Romans 12:4-8).

    Maturity and attaining to the stature of the fullness of Christ - Christians must have the goal of Christ-likeness and never settle for simply being better than some others (Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 5:11-6:3).

  • Value for our Leadership Style:

    Teamwork - the essential truth of body ministry (Romans 12:3-8). Jesus worked in a team and so did Paul. The Church will only be able to fulfill its mandate as people understand their interdependence and accordingly learn to esteem one another highly.

    Friends before function (John 15:12-17) - the importance of working in a positive relationship environment. Jesus made clear that the identifying feature of his true disciples was to be love and this has not changed. The world system works in structure; the kingdom of God works in relationship.

    Transparency - being open to one another especially in a team context. This begins in our relationship with the N.C.M.I. apostolic team members and is to be evident in how we present ourselves to the community.

    Sacrifice - being willing to pay whatever cost to fulfill the will of God.

    Preparing people for ministry - this confirms the truth of Ephesians 4:11-13 that the purpose of the five-fold ministry is to equip others to do the work of ministry.

    The call of elders to build the local church and to shepherd His people. We will not build around guest speakers, big names, etc. Guest speakers should normally be trans-local ministry that helps the eldership to fulfill their calling in a better manner but should never be expected to provide all the church growth and problem solving.

    Learning the way the anointing operates. The Holy Spirit has been sent as the One who leads, guides, empowers, convicts and helps. His ministry should be expected and honoured. This is done by listening, obeying and giving Him necessary time.

  • Build the sense of “family” amongst us (Galatians 6:9-10). Each person in a local church must be part of a family with love, care, protection, training, relationships and nurture. A happy church family can more easily become a successful army that prays, wins battles, and takes possession of a great inheritance.

    Be supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural (John 14:11-14). Keeping our feet planted firmly on the ground we represent heaven in a way that is attractive and approachable. We value equally the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and we wish to see both demonstrated through our lives.

    Live out the same priorities as the early church: the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer in large, public gatherings and in homes (Acts 2:42-47).

    Weave singing into our individual and corporate lives of worship to the Lord (Psalm 100, Matthew 26:30, Ephesians 5:18-20, Colossians 3:16-17).

    Be a bride. True heart worship and a lifestyle of holiness individually and corporately reflect the nature of the calling of the church to be the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:6-8).

    The pathway to involvement in New Beginnings Church begins with an invitation to our weekly worship service or a community group. Our desire is that newcomers sense the presence of the Holy Spirit through our lives, our preaching, our teaching, our prayer and our worship in ways that are challenging, relevant and understandable.
